Punjab Weightlifting elects new office-bearers

The Elective General Council Meeting of the Punjab Weightlifting Association (PWLF) held, at the Punjab Olympic Association Conference Hall. The meeting was chaired by the association’s chairman, Jabbran Bin Salman, and attended by representatives from eight divisional weightlifting associations.

Prominent attendees included Hafiz Imran Butt, President of the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation, and Waqar Ali, General Secretary of the Punjab Olympic Association, who participated as representatives of their respective organizations.

During the meeting, the following officebearers were unanimously elected for the 2024-2028 tenure:

Treasurer: Amir Ali, Associate Secretaries: Rashed Nadeem Butt, Naila Maqsood Butt, Executive Members: Nuzhat Jabeen, Amin Farooq, Mariyam Aqeel Butt, Abdul Sattar Rahi, Qaiser Iftikhar, Din Muhammad, Numan Waheed

The event highlighted the commitment of the association to furthering the development of weightlifting in Punjab. The newly elected officials expressed their dedication to promoting the sport and enhancing opportunities for athletes at both divisional and provincial levels.
