Punjab Police Achieves Major Success, Terrorists’ Destructive Plans Thwarted, 02 khawarji Terrorists killed.

Lahore, 17th December 2024: Punjab Police, Dera Ghazi Khan, achieved a significant success by bringing 02 more khawarji terrorists to justice. Terrorists had attacked the police with hand grenades and heavy weapons in the Kotani Tal area of Wahwa Police Station. CTD and Dera Ghazi Khan Police, in a joint operation, thwarted the terrorists’ plans, killing 02 foreign terrorists in the retaliatory action. Punjab Police spokesperson revealed that the terrorists were planning attacks on police stations and sensitive locations in Punjab. Given the movement of terrorists near the Punjab-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border, the police were on high alert. Upon receiving information about the terrorists, the SHO Wahwa, along with police and CTD teams, pursued them. As soon as the terrorists saw the police and CTD teams, they attacked with rocket launchers, grenades, and other heavy weapons. Despite the terrorists’ intense firing, the police retaliated bravely. Elite Force and backup teams quickly reached the site, not giving the terrorists any chance to escape. The operation against the khawarji terrorists was led by RPO Dera Ghazi Khan, Captain (R) Sajad Hassan Khan, while DPO Dera Ghazi Khan, Syed Ali, arrived on the scene. The police recovered rocket launchers, hand grenades, and other modern and heavy weapons from the terrorists. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the CTD and Dera Ghazi Khan Police for eliminating the khawarji terrorists. The police, CTD, and Elite teams also conducted search and sweep operations in the border area.
