Pakistan’s Railway System Fails to Impress: 47% of citizens opt for other modes of transport

Lahore (Daily Pakistan Online) A recent survey conducted by Gallup Pakistan has revealed that 47% of Pakistanis have never traveled by train.
The survey found that the majority of Pakistanis are accustomed to traveling by rickshaw, bus, and wagon, with 80% having traveled by rickshaw, 79% by bus, and 79% by wagon. 18% of respondents said they had never traveled by rickshaw, while 17% said they had never traveled by bus or wagon.
When asked if they had ever traveled by train, 47% of Pakistanis responded positively, while 47% said they had never traveled by train.
Regarding the use of cable cars or chairlifts in hilly areas, 14% of Pakistanis said they had used these modes of transportation, while 73% said they had not.
