Thailand Launches E-Visa Service for Pakistan Streamlining Travel Process

Islamabad (Daily Pakistan Online) In a significant development, Thailand has launched an e-visa service for foreign nationals in Pakistan and Afghanistan, aiming to streamline the visa application process. The new online platform, set to go live on January 1, 2025, at 10 am, will enable applicants to submit their visa applications digitally ¹.

To utilize this service, applicants will need to visit the designated website and fill out the online application form. Once the application is approved, a confirmation email will be sent to the applicant, which must be printed and presented to the airline at the time of departure and to Thai immigration authorities upon arrival.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad will continue to accept in-person visa applications until December 24, 2024. For any additional inquiries or concerns, applicants can reach out to the embassy via email at consular.isb@mfa.go.th.

This shift towards a digital application process underscores Thailand’s commitment to modernizing its visa procedures while maintaining efficient consular services for travelers in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
