Peshawar (Daily Pakistan Online) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Salman Akram Raja has expressed concerns that individuals arrested on November 26 are being implicated in cases dating back to May 9. Speaking to the media at the Peshawar High Court, Raja emphasized the need to uphold the supremacy of law and the constitution. He stressed that the purpose of filing First Information Reports (FIRs) should not be driven by political motivations.
Raja also indicated that the PTI is open to dialogue and seeks a resolution at the political level. Furthermore, he expressed solidarity with those injured and martyred. In a related development, the Peshawar High Court has granted Raja a one-month protective bail, directing that he not be arrested in connection with the registered cases. According to Raja’s lawyer, eight FIRs have been filed against him, and transit bail has been obtained in all eight cases, although the details of some cases remain unknown.
