Islam(Daily Pakistan Online) The Meteorological Department has predicted that a cold wave will continue to grip most parts of Pakistan, with extremely cold temperatures expected in mountainous areas. According to the department’s forecast, the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most parts of the country, with haze expected to occur in some plain areas, including Islamabad, upper and central Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning, advising citizens to take necessary precautions to stay warm. The department’s forecast indicates that the cold wave will persist in most districts of Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with extremely cold temperatures expected in Murree, Galiyat, and other mountainous areas.
In Balochistan, the weather is expected to be cold and dry, with extremely cold temperatures predicted in mountainous areas. The department reported that the minimum temperature in Kalat was minus 7 degrees Celsius, while Ziarat recorded a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius. Quetta’s temperature dropped to minus 5 degrees Celsius, while Naukundi recorded a temperature of 1 degree Celsius.
In contrast, the coastal areas of Sindh recorded relatively milder temperatures, with Karachi’s temperature at 8.5 degrees Celsius, Gwadar at 9 degrees Celsius, Jiwani at 12 degrees Celsius, and Turbat at 13 degrees Celsius.
