Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has pledged to follow the directives of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan regarding the civil disobedience movement.
Speaking at a press conference, Gandapur expressed confidence in the government’s ability to control terrorism while emphasizing that maintaining law and order primarily falls under federal jurisdiction. He highlighted that the provincial government is actively working to improve the situation and claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s governance performance surpasses that of other provinces.
He also noted international recognition of the province’s efforts, stating that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has commended the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
Addressing the region’s challenges, Gandapur underscored the sacrifices made in the fight against terrorism and called for dialogue with Afghanistan. “Afghanistan is our neighboring country, and the entire world has now recognized it,” he remarked.
Reaffirming PTI’s stance, Gandapur said the civil disobedience movement was initiated by party founder Imran Khan, and the provincial government would fully adhere to any decisions made by him regarding the campaign.
