Islamabad (Daily Pakistan Online) Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has launched a scathing critique of Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, accusing her of exploiting religious norms for personal gains .
Asif claimed that during the recent sit-in in Islamabad, everyone including Bushra Bibi fled, contradicting her statement that she was left alone at D-Chowk. He further stated that he has seen the video footage, which shows Bushra Bibi leaving the scene on her own .
Asif also expressed his views on civil disobedience, stating that it will fail in the current scenario where the state provides essential services to the people. He added that the PTI founder’s decision to burn a bill during the sit-in did not evoke any response from the public.
On the other hand, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the importance of stability and continuity in policies for a country’s development. He warned that chaos and civil disobedience hinder progress and urged the adoption of reforms.
In a surprising turn of events, Bushra Bibi visited the house of an activist who died during the sit-in and offered her condolences. She stated that she was in pain due to the martyrdoms and denied fleeing the scene, claiming she was left alone at D-Chowk ¹. However, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur disputed her claim, stating that he was with Bushra Bibi throughout the incident.
