Imran Khan’s Jail Transfer Plea CRUSHED: Supreme Court Slams Door Shut, Fines Petitioner!

Islamabad (Daily Pakistan Online) The Supreme Court’s Constitutional Bench dismissed a petition seeking the transfer of PTI founder Imran Khan from Adiala Jail to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The petition, filed by citizen Qayyum Khan, was rejected with a Rs 20,000 fine. Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, a member of the bench, stated that Khan could file a petition himself if he had any concerns. While three lawyers representing Khan were present in court, no such petition was filed. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel clarified that such petitions should be filed by the prisoner or their family members. Qayyum Khan argued that this was a national issue, but Justice Mandokhel responded that he should address national matters as a member of the assembly.
