Lahore (Daily Pakistan Online) In a move aimed at boosting the morale of police personnel serving in challenging areas, Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, has approved a risk allowance for officers and personnel posted in rough and border areas. According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, a total of 1,162 officers and personnel will benefit from this initiative, receiving a cumulative amount of Rs 323 million 38 thousand.
The risk allowance will be disbursed on a monthly basis, with DSPs receiving Rs 40,000, upper subordinates getting Rs 25,000, lower-class personnel receiving Rs 20,000, and class four employees getting Rs 18,000.
Dr. Anwar emphasized that this allowance will serve as a morale booster for police personnel serving in difficult areas, acknowledging the risks and challenges they face on a daily basis.
