Islamabad (Daily Pakistan Online) In the aftermath of the D-Chowk protest against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, Islamabad Police have registered 14 additional cases against him, bringing the total number of cases to 76. This development comes after the Islamabad High Court disposed of a request seeking details of the cases registered against Khan.
According to a police report submitted to the court, 62 cases were previously registered against Khan in Islamabad. The report also noted that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have submitted their respective case details to the court. Furthermore, reports of cases from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan have also been submitted.
The Islamabad High Court’s decision to dispose of the request for obtaining the cases registered against Khan was made after his sister, Noreen Niazi, filed an application seeking details of the cases. The court’s move marks a significant development in the ongoing cases against the PTI founder.
