ISLAMABAD (Daily Pakistan Online) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Saif announced on Saturday that the party is gearing up for a massive protest and public gathering in Islamabad on November 24. The event is expected to draw a large crowd, with party leaders holding meetings to finalize the arrangements.
According to Saif, the purpose of the protest is to secure the release of PTI founder Imran Khan and other party leaders. He emphasized that the party has always ensured the availability of rescue services during their gatherings, and that they have never used public machinery for their events.
Saif also clarified that Bushra Bibi, the wife of Imran Khan, is a Pakistani citizen who has merely conveyed the party founder’s message to the leadership. He reiterated that the party’s goal is to ensure the release of their leaders and to exercise their democratic right to peaceful protest.
This upcoming protest is not the first time PTI has organized a large-scale event in Islamabad. In August, the party had announced plans to hold a public rally in the city, which was seen as a show of strength for the party . The PTI has been vocal about its demands for the release of its leaders and has been using peaceful protests as a means to exert pressure on the government.
It’s worth noting that the PTI has been critical of the government’s handling of the situation, with Saif accusing the authorities of denying permission for peaceful protests ³. However, the party remains committed to exercising its democratic right to peaceful protest and is gearing up for the November 24 event.
