Islamabad (Daily Pakistan Online) Sahibzada Hamid Raza, chairman of the Sunni Ittehad Council, has reaffirmed his unwavering support for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan. In a recent statement, Raza clarified that his decision to resign from the core committee and political committee of the PTI does not imply a separation from Imran Khan or the party.
Raza emphasized that he would prefer death over parting ways with Imran Khan, underscoring the strength of their alliance. He also stated that the Sunni Ittehad Council will maintain its unity with the PTI. Raza’s resignation from the PTI committees was reportedly a strategic move to distance himself from the party’s internal conflicts.
As the grandson of renowned scholar Mufti Mahmood and the son of former federal minister Sahibzada Fazal Karim, Raza’s political influence is significant. His loyalty to Imran Khan and the PTI remains unwavering, with Raza asserting that his politics will continue to align with Khan’s.
In a demonstration of his commitment, Raza announced that he will submit his resignation as a member of the National Assembly (MNA) to Imran Khan, considering his seat a trust bestowed upon him by Khan.
