KPK Chief Secretary Warns Officials Against Following Illegal Orders from Political Leaders

PESHAWAR (Daily Pakistan Online) Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, has directed officials to only follow orders from the political leadership that are within the constitutional framework . He emphasized that officials should not succumb to pressure or temptation and misuse official resources, assets, or authority.

In a letter to the Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, provincial secretaries, commissioners, and police officers, the Chief Secretary stated that officials should only follow orders that are within the constitutional framework. He warned that following illegal orders from any political party would have consequences.

The Chief Secretary also directed officials to adhere to professional ethics and maintain the rule of law without fear, favor, or bias. He reminded them that their oath is to the Constitution and the state, not to any political party or leader.

Chaudhry also cautioned officials against being influenced by any political party or individual, and to perform their duties impartially. He emphasized that officials should maintain their integrity and reputation, and not misuse official resources, assets, or authority under any pressure or temptation.
